Denggue

After school, I had to rush to SMKA Sultan Muhammad Batu Berendam for a talk on denggue. It was a talk co-organized by the state education office and the state health office to all representatives from all schools in Melaka Tengah.
Because of the poor PA System, the whole speech was quite inaudible, so I couldn't make up much of what being said. But one alarming statistic was able to get through my sleeping ears. That is, in Melaka Tengah alone there are 800 cases of denggue. Melaka itself is already small. So, Melaka Tengah is relatively a tiny weeny dot. Imagine 800 cases! I guess the ratio could be 1 case:100m. So scary! And there were 6 deaths reported so far with one case of an 8 years girl in Durian Tunggal.
I also learn that there is one breed of aedes that is like immortal. (Exagerate!). Reaallly!!!!!!
This one species, which I couldn't make up the name could also breed after the habitat was destroyed. So the advice is to scrub the tank, pail etc even after you have got rid of the water.
Taman Desa Baru, where I live, is marked as one of the denggue area. Nauzubillah, May Allah protect my family and neighbours from this.
At the talk, we were given this

which with one sachet can actually be used in number of places. Now, who said a talk on denggue is not important?
