Trifle Simple & Murah

Feel like making trifle w/out the trip to Jusco? So inilah hasilnya

In my case, saya cuma gunakan hirisan badam.

Bon Apetit!!

My Iphone 4S

With the much awaited Iphone 5, Iphone 4S could not be found anymore in Malaysian market. I was in dire need of a phone as the HTC I'm using at the moment could not be used anymore. I don't want to get into detail on that. By the way, I wouldn't dreamt of using the 5 as I'm afraid that I would not know wisely how to make use of the technology. I'm afraid that I'd end up being a laughing stock. And, since the last time I ever bought a phone was like 10 years ago, I feel like it would not be a sin if I lavish myself with an impressive phone. Impressing myself! Nobody would envy or look high on you except yourself. Anyway, those were my justification of setling for 4S. Since it was not in the market, I was lucky that I could still get it from Apple Store online for RM1799.00. And it took only 3 working days to be delivered. Before I forget, this is the non contracted one. So I had to change my current sim card into the small one. Being apple simply means being different. The first few days of using the 4S, I actually regreted buying it as everything I wanted to download cannot be found free including the whatsapp application. So, my advice is, if you are the type who like to download, iphone might frustrate you. However, jailbreak could be the solution. In my case, I pass on jailbreak as I choose only 1gb internet plan. And, I wouldn't want to have problems later on when I want to upgrade the IOS. As mentioned earlier, I am not that internet nor technology savvy. After a weak, I'm beginning to love my iphone. I simply like the simplicity and the ease of using most of the apps as compared to my samsung tab. So peep, love it or hate it, it depends on your need. Mine is simple. I love simplicity with some elegance.

Johor Premium Outlet - 2nd visit

This time around, I aimed for a sling bag from fossil & a pair of levis. These two stores are definitely worth visiting for and the markdown are affordable to many. However, to my frustration, nothing fancy me at fossil and I've already have the Levis sold there, with exact colour and cut.
Being a woman, if you intend to shop, then you would still shop. So, this time around I bought my skincare essencials. Mostly being offered up to 20% to 40%. That was quiet a lot. See, you still get something worth spending there. As for Mr hubby, he managed to secure an A/X jacket with 70% discount. The last time we went here, the jacket was around RM1000++. Thank God, the jacket was still there and he managed to squeezed it with only around RM100++.

Istanbul Aku Datang

Well peeps, mark my word, you won't regret watching this one malay movie at this particular of time. Its just won't fail you. Upon buying the ticket, I was actually hopping that mr hubby would change his mind and opt for 007 Skyfall. Since he insist, I just followed but in the end thanked him for taking me watch this movie. Its so fresh, light, non violent and sweet. It is also clean. I have eventually develop this stereotyped feeling that Malay movie nowadays are cheap with exception of fews. Bernard Chauly has again enlighten my perception. Set in Istanbul but you don't actually get to feel the romance of the place since you'd be engrossed with the characters. Lisa plays the heroin. You'd be charmed her cuteness an witts, as usual. But really, she dorns cute hairband, hairdos, you even find her leggings all cute. Then, Tomok who plays Aizad is also natural in acting. I guess, he is one of the few singers who can also act. He's also cute in this movie. The other important actor is Harris, played by Bento Khusyairi. He's ok but I guess he still needs lots of improvement. He looks too careful and a bit stiff for this kind of romance comedy type of film. The storyline is very simple. Its an escapade to your hectic, mundane affairs. Notice that I describe Lisa & Tomok as cute and my husband stated that he feels old watching this movie at the cinema. So if you want to feel young, go watch this movie. XOXO!!

Pesta Buku Melaka 2012, Don't Waste Your Time!

Pesta Buku Melaka is now at the Melaka International Bowling Centre. My advise is, don't waste your time going. These are the concrete reason why;
1) There are only about four, I repeat,  FOUR booths of books. Funny that there are also booth selling batik & honey.

2) Not even 20 publishers participate. However, if you are one of the many who enjoy cheap mentality of reading books published by PTS, then, you will be delighted as you can find PTS's booth is the biggest booth in the exhibition.

3) Only 10% markdown. However, if you have children who begins to read then I suggest you visit Dewan Bahasa & Pustaka booth. You can even have thin, good illustration books with only RM1. I really bought a lot for Sofea. Even Popular Bookstore offer better discount.

Well, it's a sad thing that it is being organized by the Perbadanan Perpustakaan Negeri Melaka. If this is the kind of image its giving to the public, then I shall have no regret that I have never brought my children to the state libraby.

Eidul Adha - Teach Your Children of the Greatest Sacrifice

Eidul Adha is here again. Every year, there will always be a different celebration for us. This time around, eidul adha means a lot to us as my in laws are blessed to have the opportunity to perform the holy pilgrimage. The children miss their atok and nenek. For my husband, his wish of sending his parents to mecca is finally a reality. As for me, the call of Mecca is even stronger. May Allah ease the way for us. In the meantime, as usual, eidul adha connotes sacrifice. I don't really have to sacrifice anything this time around but am called to do the qurban. If all these while, the idea of qurban is so big to me, I guess, its my mentality and ignorance that made it as a big deal. I can even spend hundreds on handbags, why didn't i think of qurban before this. So I guess, the hidayah from Allah has finally reaches me and boy am I thankful on that. Alhamdulillah. So, to do qurban shall be on my 2013 new year resolution. Back to this year eidul adha celebration. Apart having to cook the rendang for my two brother in laws, this year I taught my children the significance of celebrating eidul adha. I taught them the sacrifice of Nabi Ibrahim A.S and his son, Nabi Ismail. Both my girls actually already knew the story but did not know its relation to eidul adha. Alhamdulillah, syukur to Allah, again, his guidance reaches me that the idea of telling, or rather recalling the story of the greatest sacrifice in Islam occurs to me. So, if you happen to forget about telling your children, its not too late. Allah has never set any time frame. It's us who always setting time, making excuses. I am again, as one of the humble vicegerance of Allah, calling you parents to go and tell your children of the story of Nabi Ibrahim now. May we all be guided.

Husband Receives Bintang Cemerlang Melaka

Last Sunday, 14th October 2012, was a memorable day in my husband's life and career. Man, was he the proudest person on earth on that day. He has been acknowledged by the governance of Malacca, being conferred Bintang Cemerlang Melaka by the Tuan Yang Terutama Tuan Yang Dimuliakan of Melacca, Tun Khalil b Yaakob.
As for me, its my first time attending such formal function involving the dignitaries of a state. So much of formalities that I choose to sit at the last two rows so that not to be noticed.
As for the dresscode, one was asked to wear black covered shoes. I even went shopping for it. But I was so disturbed to find that even the receivers of awards on that day did not follow the dresscode. I just simply couldn't understand these people.
Nevertheless, being a teacher, I guess, respecting and following rules are like, in borne. Well, all & all, I had good time experiencing new thing in life. I hope my husband finds success in his career ahead. I am so proud of him.
