I've been having this slip disc since my second pregnancy. Doctor said I got it due to taking epidural before. Whether this is true, I do not know. But in my case, I inherit this from my father. And, whether its genetic, I would also say I wouldn't know. The fact that I have it, I just have to face it.
After many episodes of slip disc, and after frequent visits to the doctor, I have learnt on ways to minimize if not totally prevent it from occurring. It's all lay in exercise, exercise and exercise! This is indeed true. Exercise can strengthen the bone. By regular exercise, you can actually minimize the chance of getting it.
Now, it hits me again. I have no choice but to rest a bit. By simply lying down on the bed won't heal it at all. There are some suggested exercise to be done. Your GP would provide you only with pain killer so it's always prevention is better than cure kind of thing.
This time around, I simply refused to go seeing the GP since I have all the painkiller at home. The difference is this time around, I try Panaflex to ease the pain. Guess what, it really does wonders! After putting it on my back for nearly half a day, I really thought that, I've totally healed and thus I continue doing my work as usual. Later only I realized that it just help ease the pain just like other painkillers. But I guess, next time around, I just patch on this Panaflex rather than consume Ponstan.
