The Mentoring

Yesterday marked my last day of being the mentor for the Program Peningkatan Penguasaan Bahasa Inggeris Guru-guru Pra Sekolah. So, finally, the 12 class lessons are over. Boy, am I relieved......
When I was first told to be held such responsibilty of mentoring the teachers, I was so scared that nobody would want to listen to me. Alhamdulillah, I was blessed with 10 mentees who are really believe in me, far from being sceptical.
As it is over, I feel that I am surely going to miss seeing them, missing preparing the weekly 2 hours lesson for them. Although, it was meant to be english lessons, we felt like it was more like a support group where we share experiences and stories, not only about our pupils, but our life at large. We feel so close and I do learnt a lot in my interpersonal skills.
My 10 mentees, you know where to reach me. Muaahhhh & hugssss!

Denggue

After school, I had to rush to SMKA Sultan Muhammad Batu Berendam for a talk on denggue. It was a talk co-organized by the state education office and the state health office to all representatives from all schools in Melaka Tengah.
Because of the poor PA System, the whole speech was quite inaudible, so I couldn't make up much of what being said. But one alarming statistic was able to get through my sleeping ears. That is, in Melaka Tengah alone there are 800 cases of denggue. Melaka itself is already small. So, Melaka Tengah is relatively a tiny weeny dot. Imagine 800 cases! I guess the ratio could be 1 case:100m. So scary! And there were 6 deaths reported so far with one case of an 8 years girl in Durian Tunggal.
I also learn that there is one breed of aedes that is like immortal. (Exagerate!). Reaallly!!!!!!
This one species, which I couldn't make up the name could also breed after the habitat was destroyed. So the advice is to scrub the tank, pail etc even after you have got rid of the water.
Taman Desa Baru, where I live, is marked as one of the denggue area. Nauzubillah, May Allah protect my family and neighbours from this.
At the talk, we were given this

which with one sachet can actually be used in number of places. Now, who said a talk on denggue is not important?

High Maintenance? Mana ada.......

Jusco gave RM50 voucher for any RM350 spent on cosmetic. Since my moisturizer is almost empty, I guess I might just drop by and get my moisturizer plus another stuff that could total up to that amount, and yes, get the voucher.
So, first, I puposely went to the Biotherm counter and ask for my regular moisturizer.

Biotherm Aquasource Skin Perfection.
I simply like this moisturizer because it is so light for day use. When I add sunblock, foundation etc...etc... It won't feel so condensed on your face. It's very moisturizing though. My skin is a very dry skin, so I used to use Biotherm Skin Vivo range. When given a sample of this aquasource, I immediately decided for a change. It is retailed at RM165.00.

Then, since I've started to develop pimples since using Clinique sunblock, I was sure would ask for a cream to counter this problem. So I was given Pure-fect Skin Anti Imperfection Targeted Solution. It is a pimple concentrated gel retailed at RM90.00.

And, since I pointed out the reason for the outbreak of pimples is due to a sunblock, obviously I need a new sunblock as well. This time, I was easily influenced with the CC Cream, which I thought was funny after the BB Cream. Who knows, I might also buy the DD Cream next.

This one is retailed at RM135.00.

Then, the salesgirl went on saying that I should include the Biotherm Blue Theraphy range to enable for triple bonus point. Arghhh uhhhh, so after coaxing and declining, I was the one surrendered for the night cream from the range and this submissive self of mine have to pay for another RM249.00.

I wish I could stop there but her wish is my command, I guess. After calculation, she went on saying that I was short of RM81.00 in getting another RM50 voucher. So, again, I decided to take the make up cleanser for RM90.00.

In addition to these, I also get to have these

for my purchase.

A simple message stating a reward of RM50 voucher has made me spent RM724.00 in a single visit. Do I regret it? A bit I guess. Occassionally, I would heard my husband's voice....." Ala, bukan basi pun....." Plus.... I do get the RM100 voucher which I intend to spend it buying my husband birthday gift come January.

Telur Bungkus for Dinner

There were few bits of daging qurban left in my fridge so for a quick cook dinner, I made telur bungkus for my girls tonight. Hubby is in Sungai Limau for fhe byelection.
Anyhow, this is how I made it,

1. Mince the meat by grinding it in a blender.

2. Chop garlic, tomatoes and carrot.

Alternatively, you can also add shallot, or any desirable fillings.

3. Heat oil in a wok. Put the minced meat and fry until it let out some juices.

4. Add garlic, followed by grinded dried chillies, tomatoes and carrot. Saute for awhile.

5. Add some soy sauce. If you wish, you could also add a little of chilli sauce.

6. Fry an omellete.

7. Put the fillings in the omellete and roll it.

Happy trying !

Someone Has Brighten Up My Day

After a long brooding day, I hit to McDonald simply for a cup of coffee. I choose Mocha today as it is already late for a coffee. Look at this

As if he knew I simply find a tranquility from coffee, this was served to me. So, let us just make a simple random act of kindness. The effect on someone's life is so priceless.

The Life of Mahatma Gandhi by Louis Fischer

I have always wanted to read on Gandhi. All I know that he was a good guy but I have no idea what kind of person he was. I’ve tried to read ...
