When the newscaster mentionED that the break in into 20 houses in Putrajaya was at Phase 4, Precint 8, I immediately knew that it was the job of my boys.Few faces appeared before my eyes.
On the next day at school, I was shocked to find that they are year 1 and year 2 boys. They are naive and this is supported by their class teachers. I also learn that the parents actually asked the boys to return the stolen items to the owners upon knowing the boys' naught. If I was the parent, I would do the same thing. Or... I could go to extra mile by personally return the items and apologize sincerely. I remembered clearly, few years earlier, I had difficulty in handling Sarra's habit of taking other people's belongings.
To me, they are naive and the parents have done their parts in educating their children. I, however would blame the one who made it into a police case. If you look at the things they stole, those are things that I would categorize as priceless. But again, the boys need to be taught, I agree. By making it into a police case is so devastating to the boys and the parents.
I deny of being judgemental against the parents of phase 4, Precint 8 but that's the reality. Parents here, they are selfish. They just want to condemn. Teachers here are so used to being condemn by them.
I recall this one talk by Ustaz Don Danial. He said that our Prophet Muhammad (SAW) never blame others. He would listen attentively and whenever mistake needed to corrected, he would do it wisely. Just look at the Japanese. They would forgive and forget easily. That's how we should lead our life. Less stress, more peace.
So friends, I urge... this could happen to us. Its just how wise would we be in handling the situation. But for me personally, I don't blame the boys. They were exposed to so many things. Violent movies, basic and handful of science, and everything. Its us the adult who have failed to see this.
